We judge ourselves on a “triple bottom line philosophy, and expect our customers to do the same. We created and use a sustainability evaluation system to measure each borrower’s impact on the community, conservation, and economy. To that end, we provide consulting services relative to the individual activities of our customer, as well as provide other information that may be useful. We are especially knowledgeable about certain sectors of the economy.
Our Sustainability Staff works with customers to make improvements in each of our three defined sector areas. There are several layers of detail relevant to the specific needs and desires of the customer. A more detailed presentation of the layers, in part derived from the principles of The Natural Step, is detailed here.
This process is repeated as required with the customer, often annually, which provides feedback on the effectiveness of the consultation and the progress of the customer. Most businesses can realize gains in fiscal competitiveness, community expansion, and material efficiency when guided through our process. ShoreBank Pacific works here, in the transition zone between "business as usual" and sustainability.
With the goal of lasting positive change, ShoreBank Pacific works with clients to focus on the long-term view of the company contributing to the community for a very long time. Our process, while it may be time consuming and detail intensive, requires diligence, but can yield fundamental change toward achieving sustainable behavior.
